Elopement Wedding in Ireland: Jessa & Greg's Magical Day at Uragh Stone Circle.
Their day was filled with magical backdrops and so much love. They're passionate fo photography and film and choose to elope to Ireland from Canada.
Their intimate handfasting ceremony took place to the sounds of an Irish Harp played by harpest Eimear Coughlan, followed by a photoshoot in Kenmare, Molls Gap, and Killarney National Park all along the famous Ring Of Kerry.
I absolutely adore it when couples break free from traditional wedding rules and create a day that's uniquely theirs. As an elopement wedding photographer in Kerry, I get to share and capture the beauty of Ireland's hidden corners. If you are considering this mystical location for your irish elopement its important to note that you need to seek permission from the landowners.
The Uragh Stone Circle is a small Bronze Age axial stone circle dating back to 3500 BC located on the Beara Peninsula near Gleninchaquin Park, County Kerry. It is surrounded by lakes and mountains and approx. 17km west of Kenmare.
Jessa & Greg choose to get ready together at Muckross Park Hotel & Spa Killarney on the morning of their elopement wedding day. They didn't want any fuss and travelled together in a vintage car through the spectacular Molls Gap and as walked from the car park at the park over the hill to the stone circle.
When we were plannning the photography locations as few weeks in advance of the day we decided they would travel with us after the ceremony so we could take them to more off the beaten track spots and spend some more time enjoying the experience.
We left the Beara Peninsula mid-afternoon and drove to Kenmare for a walk around the bustling town and they stopped for a quick Guinness at O'Connor's Bar in the square. Jessa & Greg certainly got the attention and lots of good wishes as they walked down Henry Street, Kenmare.Â
After our visit to Kenmare we knew that by the time we reached Muckross in Killarney National Park that it would be seculded and Jessa & Greg could enjoy some time alone surrounded by nature and visit Muckross Abbey.
As the evening drew to a close we made our way into Killarney town where we we put the camera away and found a snug at Reidy's Bar after a while I left them to soak up the warm atmosphere where I believe they danced and made friends with all the locals.
Some kind words from Jessa & Greg;
"Thank you so much Evelyn!!! We had the most incredible day with you & Keith!! Greg & I haven’t been able to stop talking about how lucky we were to have you taking us around to all the most unbelievably beautiful spots taking such wonderful photos of us! You two were such an enormous part of our dream wedding day & we’re SO grateful to you!!"
