A Beach wedding in May, in West Cork, with the reception in a marque beside the seaside , the dream for any Irish photographer, a fun loving couple and a day at the beach! And for once, it was a scorcher!!
Having only chats with Georgina & Bryan online as they live in London, there was huge excitement leading up to the day and would you believe the weather was never discussed at any stage , in our first conversation Georgina said the weather for the day was going to be perfect and we trusted her completely.
Finally meeting with them on the morning of the wedding along with an entourage that had travelled from the UK and further afield to the stunning little village of Crosshaven sitting quietly and peacefully on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way.
To help stage the day everyone in the village offered accommodation and helped moving furniture along with their amazing Irish wedding planner Amy Daunt, it was like a scene from Mamma Mia based in an amazingly friendly community.
As all their guests were requested to make their way to Crosshaven pier for some Guinness & oysters after the beautiful vowel service, our bride & groom took time to arrive a little later into the harbour by boat, a little moment and memory which caused great excitement as the couple could be seen way offshore as they made their way over to the guests.
A little stroll from the pier along a country road in the early summer sunshine back to their marquee on the beach was a perfect way to build an appetite for dinner and to finally seal the memories for one and all, the evenings entertainment began as the sun was setting and the magical beam of the lamp from the Fastnet lighthouse bounced to shore almost acting as disco ball for the dancing which was set to continue long into the night !!
